Brief Description About The Translation Of Meanings Of The Noble Quran In Swahili Language Somaqurani.com
Alhidaaya Translation of meanings of the Quran has been prepared for the objective of facilitating the Swahili speaking community to understand an authentic Kiswahili Quran translation. This translation is the first of its kind due to the fact that it is in accordance to the manhaj of our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and Salaf Saalih; Companions (رضي الله عنهم), Taabi‘in and those who follow them with ihsaan till the last Day.
There are various matters which this translation is unique as it distinguishes itself from other Swahili translations as follows:
- It has affirmed the Attributes of Allaah (سبحانه وتعالى) in a manner that befits His Majesty just like how He Allaah (سبحانه وتعالى) affirmed Himself and what has been affirmed by His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم); for example, the attribute of ‘Al-Uluww’ (Allaah being up), Al-Istiwaa, the Hearing, the Seeing, the Speech and other attributes which have been affirmed without ta`tiyl (negation of the meaning or function), nor tamthiyl (likening them to those of Allaah’s Creation), nor takyif (descriptive designation), nor tahriyf (distortion of their meaning), as known and agreed by Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’aah .
- It has affirmed all matters of the unseen (ghayb) example Ar-Ru-yaa (Believers seeing Allaah on the Day of Resurrection in the Paradise), also, punishment of the grave, As-Siraat (The Path), Al-Mizaan (The Scale) and other matters which are mentionend in the Noble Quran.
- Chosen with great care vocabularies which correspond to what is meant in the Aayah.
- Defined some matters which needed clarification concerning Aqidah.
- Quoted Asbaab Nuzuul (reasons for revelation) of some Verses and Suras and the lessons derived.
- Mentioned An-Naasikh (abrogating) Wal-Mansuukh (abrogated) wherever it was possible to do so.
